They come from a Whisper-class speech model, which handles clear speech in most accents well. Names, jargon and brand words are what it usually gets wrong, which is exactly why the editor exists.
It is stored only while you work on it and deleted automatically within 48 hours. We do not train on it, publish it, or share it.
The model transcribes over 90 languages and captions them in the language spoken. It does not translate — the captions match what was said.
The free tool returns a video with the captions burned in. Postally accounts can keep the editable caption data and re-style it later without re-transcribing.
